SSC CGL Exam 2013 Admit Card Details of Posts, Scheme and Date of Examination, and Selection Procedure for Combined Graduate Level Exam 2013

SSC CGL Exam 2013 – Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2013 for the recruitment to the different posts. The Graduation from a recognized University is the minimum Educational Qualification for the examination.


SSC CGL Exam 2013 – Combined Graduate Level Exam 2013 – Exam Postponed Central Region, Eastern Region, Northern Region and MP Region

Due to certain administrative reasons, SSC CGL Exam 2013 (SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2013) has been postponed to 19.05.2013 in SSC, Central Region, Eastern Region, Northern Region and MP Region.

Update :

SSC CGL Exam 2013 postponed to 28.04.2013

Update : 13.04.2013- The Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2013 is scheduled to be held on 14th April, 2013 and 21st April, 2013. The examination scheduled on 14.04.2013 has been postponed on account of the Birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and will now be held on 28.04.2013.  Revised Admission Certificates may be downloaded from Links given below (which are the website of the concerned Regional Offices of Staff Selection Commission) on or after 21st April,2013.

SSC CGL Exam 2013 – Scheme of Examination

The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:

  • Tier -I — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
  • Tier -II — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
  • Tier -III — Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification & Descriptive/on-line test of qualifying nature.

SSC CGL Exam 2013 – Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates is based on the performance in Tier I and Tier II Written Examination. The successful candidates in written examination will undergo Interview /Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/Document verification wherever applicable and the descriptive/on-line test. The commission will draw up the All India Merit List for each category of post/State for those candidates who have qualified in the descriptive /on-line test and as many candidates as are found by the Commission to have qualified in the Examination shall be recommended for appointment for each category of post/State up to the number of unreserved vacancies available, taking into consideration option for the posts.

At once the candidate has been given his/her first available preference, he/she will not be considered for the other options. All the candidates are, therefore, advised to exercise preference in Application Form carefully.  The option /preference once exercised by the Candidates will be treated as FINAL and IRREVERSIBLE. The subsequent request for change of allocation/service by candidates will not be entertained under any circumstances/ reasons SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, along with candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates will be accommodated against the general/unreserved vacancies in the post/state as per their position in the overall Merit List or vacancies earmarked for their category, whichever is advantageous to them.
