India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) is a 100% Government of India owned payments bank, operating under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications.

IPPB’s core mission is to leverage India’s vast postal network (over 1.65 lakh post offices and approx. 3 lakh GDS/ postal delivery agents) to provide doorstep banking, digital payments, financial inclusion and other value‑added services across rural and urban India.

The bank emphasises accessibility, innovation in payments/fintech, and last‑mile outreach.

🧾 Role Overview

IPPB invites online applications for 348 Executive positions from currently engaged Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) under the Department of Posts. Selected candidates will be responsible for customer acquisition, sales of financial products, and local outreach in designated regions.

We are looking for dynamic Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) engaged with the Department of Posts as of 01‑08‑2025, to be engaged by IPPB as Executive (on contract) across various outlets. The Executive will play a key role in extending IPPB’s reach, achieving business growth, customer acquisition, financial‑literacy campaigns, training other GDS staff and supporting operations

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Drive sales of IPPB and partner products (insurance, banking, remittance etc.)
Conduct customer onboarding, KYC, and support local campaigns
Train and support other GDS personnel for IPPB operations
Work closely with DoP Inspectors and Postmasters
Maintain outreach activities and meet performance metrics

📋 Eligibility Criteria

Required:

Must be a currently engaged GDS with DoP as on 01‑08‑2025
Age: 20–35 years (as on 01‑08‑2025)
Educational Qualification: Any Graduate (from recognised university/institution)
No pending disciplinary action or punishment

Desirable:

Strong interpersonal and sales skills
Prior exposure to digital financial services
Willingness to travel locally

📑 Employment Type & Work Conditions

Type: Contractual – 1 year (extendable up to 3 years)
Work Hours: Based on local post office operations and outreach schedule
